Birds for Books Birdathon- Meet at Big Pillow Brewing
Join us for the Woodson Branch Birds for Books Birdathon Saturday or Sunday Walk!
We will all meet at the Big Pillow Brewing Parking and depart at 6:30am to bird watch around the Hot Springs area! This is a TWO DAY event happening from 6:30-10:00 AM on April 26th and 27th.
This free, family-friendly event is open to bird lovers of all ages and is led by Mark Hopey, the director of the Blue Ridge Bird Observatory (Saturday Morning), and Pete Dixion, local naturalist and board member of the Blue Ridge Bird Observatory (Sunday Morning).
Whether you’re a seasoned birdwatcher or a beginner, this walk offers an exciting opportunity to learn the basics of bird watching, how to identify local bird species, and discover ways to get involved in bird conservation efforts.
Bring your kiddos along for an educational adventure in nature—it’s a perfect outing for anyone interested in birds and the environment! Don’t miss out on this fun, hands-on experience in the great outdoors!
**This is a two day event! Please pay close attention to the two dates and start/end times!
